AL-AHSA — Nine people, including seven members of one family, were killed in a horrific collision between two vehicles on the Al-Uqair-Al-Uyun road in Al-Ahsa governorate in the Eastern Province.The accident claimed the lives of a father, mother, three sons, and two daughters who were traveling in the first vehicle. Two young men in the other vehicle also died. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.The Eastern Province Traffic Department announced that its teams responded to the accident immediately, explaining that the cause for the accident was a sudden swerve. It added that the necessary procedures are being completed.Specialized rescue teams from the Civil Defense and the Red Crescent worked to extricate those trapped inside the damaged vehicles after receiving the report. The accident resulted in the deaths of all the victims.The Al-Uqair-Al-Uyun road is a vital artery in the Eastern Province, connecting parts of Al-Ahsa governorate to the coastal areas.
