It also highlighted the potential consequences of goods remaining in ports for extended periods if transit shipments are not cleared within the specified timeframe. Accordingly, the Mawani stressed the importance of ensuring that shipping lines and their agents take the necessary proactive measures to guarantee the timely transfer or transshipment of transit shipments, thus minimizing their stay in ports. It also emphasized the need to enhance coordination with relevant authorities to expedite procedures related to transit shipments, including advance planning for transshipment or transport to final destinations.
