NEW YORK — Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, said the Kingdom is working continuously with member states and international partners to build a unified global position that enhances security and stability.Al-Wasel reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s firm condemnation of Iranian attacks, describing them as a clear violation of state sovereignty and a direct threat to regional and international security.In remarks to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he said the Kingdom continues to emphasize, through its participation in UN discussions including the Security Council and General Assembly, the need to confront these violations and hold Iran accountable for escalation and destabilizing activities in the region.He added that Saudi Arabia is coordinating closely with international partners to limit threats targeting vital facilities and ensure the safety of international maritime navigation.Al-Wasel stressed the importance of relying on evidence to highlight the scale of these attacks and urged the international community to take a firm position to uphold international law and the UN Charter.He also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for de-escalation efforts and peaceful solutions, while stressing the need to stop interference in the internal affairs of states to achieve lasting regional stability.
