Volvo Group et sa coentreprise Cespira ont signé un accord de développement définitif pour finaliser et commercialiser un moteur à combustion fonctionnant à l'hydrogène. Basé sur la plateforme 13 litres existante de Volvo, ce moteur utilisera la technologie HPDI (injection directe à haute pression) de Cespira. Les premiers camions sont déjà en test sur route, pour une mise sur le marché européen prévue avant 2030.
