RIYADH — The National Health Command and Control Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Health, has been designated a collaborating center by the World Health Organization (WHO). This is considered as a milestone reflecting the advancement of Saudi Arabia’s health system. The designation also promotes knowledge exchange, supports the development of health policies, and strengthens early warning systems at both regional and global levels.This recognition by WHO builds on the center’s advanced operational capabilities, which include 17 operations centers, nine specialized committees, more than 500 dashboards, six published studies and 37 health policies, enhancing the effectiveness of health responses and enabling data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics. The designation is valid for four years (2026–2030), during which the center will contribute to capacity building, the development of health information systems, and the expanded use of data in decision-making, in line with a joint work plan with the WHO. This achievement underscores the Kingdom’s advanced position in the health sector and reaffirms its leadership in supporting global efforts to address health challenges by strengthening preparedness and fostering closer integration with international health organizations.
