Samsung's new Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 are official. Neither of these phones has introduced the full-fledged Galaxy AI suite to the mid-range segment, but Samsung says they do include a few new and upgraded “Awesome Intelligence” features.
Both phones run One UI 8.5 out of the box, which means AI Select is easier to reach. You can now press and hold the Edge Panel tab to launch AI Select. This shortcut debuted on the Galaxy S26 series.
The most significant AI addition to the Galaxy A37 and the Galaxy A57 is Voice Transcription.
It's not as clever and versatile as Call Assist, but Voice Transcription will allow you to transcribe audio from the Voice Recorder app and turn voicemail into text.
Other new and enhanced AI features include:
The list above is not exhaustive. A handful of existing Awesome Intelligence were neither upgraded nor removed.
All in all, the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 are slightly better AI phones than their predecessors, and the A57 has an edge over all of them.
The premium-grade Galaxy AI suite is still missing, so you could argue that Samsung's latest mid-range devices aren't clever enough to be considered true AI phones. They don't boast the most advanced generative AI tools you'll find on Galaxy S or Galaxy Z phones, but they are slowly getting better.
Samsung plans to introduce the Galaxy A37 and the Galaxy A57 in select markets on April 10, with availability expanding to more markets after. They ship with Android 16, and both promise support for six OS upgrades.
