Samsung's newest high-end phones—Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra—come with several new and improved Galaxy AI features. One of those features is the Audio Eraser. It can analyze videos and remove unwanted sounds from them.
Here is how it works.
The Audio Eraser feature uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy processor's powerful NPU to analyze sounds in a video. It can detect up to six different types of sounds: Crowd, Music, Nature, Noise, Voices, and Wind. Once those sounds are identified, you can decrease or increase the volume of each sound.
This allows you to remove unwanted sounds and keep/amplify sounds that are important in the video. For example, you can remove background noise and wind while keeping the sound of voices. Audio Eraser can single-handedly save several videos from becoming unusable due to unwanted noises like wind.
You can find this feature in the built-in Gallery app. You can access it by pressing the Galaxy AI icon below any video in the Gallery app. A new screen appears where analyzed sounds are displayed, along with where those sounds are audible in the video. You can then use the slider to decrease or increase their volume.
You can watch it in action in our detailed video below.
Since Audio Eraser is powered by One UI 7.0 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy chip, it is available on all Galaxy S25 series phones: Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
If you liked this feature and want to buy the Galaxy S25 to use it, hit the link below to pre-order the new phone. You can get up to $50 store credit from Samsung and grab other benefits.
