Samsung designed One UI Watch to accommodate both analog and digital watch fans. The OS offers a variety of watch faces, and thanks to the tiles-centric UI design, you won't miss out on health and fitness information regardless of which watch face you use.
If you enjoy the analog look and prefer classic-style watch faces on your Galaxy Watch, there is another trick you can do to make your smartwatch feel even more like an analog timepiece.
Namely, you can set the Galaxy Watch so that analog watch faces make the familiar ticking sound whenever the seconds hand moves. Here's how.
The ticking sound was carefully designed not to be a distraction. The volume is predefined and won't change based on other sound settings, and the Galaxy Watch won't tick loudly like a grandfather's clock. Just like with an analog watch, the Galaxy Watch's ticking sound is subtle and barely audible, but you can hear it if you bring the watch close to your ear or if you're in a very quiet room.
As you might expect, this feature works only with select watch faces. For one, it doesn't work with digital ones. It has to have an analog design. Furthermore, your mileage with third-party analog watch faces might vary, but we tested six from Samsung and they all supported the ticking sound feature.
