We got access to the Samsung Calendar app from One UI 9.5 and tried it out. It isnât a major overhaul, but there are a few changes to the interface that you can check out in the screenshots below.
The first change youâll notice is the search buttonâs new location. Samsung has moved it from the top of the screen to the bottom right, where it gets its own circular button beside the bar that lets you quickly add events. That bar is now narrower and simply says âAdd eventâ instead of referencing the selected date.

The search screen also gains a Key events section. This displays event entries as pill-shaped buttons above the existing color and calendar filters.

The sidebar has been rearranged, too. Sync now, Recycle bin, and Settings are grouped together above the calendar and account list. Previously, the sync and recycle bin buttons sat below the calendars, while Settings was represented by a gear icon at the top of the sidebar.

These are some of the changes weâve spotted so far. Samsung may add more or tweak whatâs already there as development on One UI 9.5 continues.
Meanwhile, the One UI 9.5 beta for the Galaxy S26 series appears to be getting closer. As we previously explained, the first beta firmware surfaced on Samsungâs servers three weeks earlier than the equivalent One UI 8.5 firmware did last year.
Samsung launched the One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 series on December 8, 2025. This time, a late November launch looks possible, so Galaxy S26 owners could get an earlier start. Samsung hasnât announced a date yet, though.
