Android 15 development for Galaxy smartphones continues to pick up pace as we move closer to the One UI 7.0 beta program. Today, the first internal Android 15/One UI 7.0 test firmware was spotted (via Tarun Vats) on Samsung's servers for the Galaxy A53.
To be clear, the firmware in question is just an internal test build. Beta Android 15 firmware are only available for the Galaxy S24 lineup as of November 18. Many other devices will be eligible for the One UI 7.0 beta program, but there's no guarantee the Galaxy A53 will be able to join in on the fun.
More details after the break…
Regardless of their eligibility for the beta program, all Galaxy phones and tablets will get the official One UI 7.0 update sometime next year following the launch of the flagship Galaxy S25 lineup.
One UI 7 will overhaul many aspects of the user interface on Galaxy devices and is set to be the biggest One UI update in years. For the Galaxy A53, this will be the third major Android OS upgrade.
