Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy A52 to make it more secure. The mid-range phone is now getting the March 2025 security update in one country. But the update will likely be released in more countries in the coming days.
The new software update, which is currently rolling out for the Galaxy A52, comes with firmware version A526BXXSCGYC1. It is available in Ireland and brings the March 2025 security patch. It fixes 58 security flaws that were discovered in the previous versions of the operating system.
If you are in Ireland and own a Galaxy A52, you can now check for the update and install it. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database to flash it manually. You would need a computer running Windows OS and having the Odin tool installed.
The Galaxy A52 is currently on Samsung's quarterly update schedule. The phone was launched in March 2021 with Android 11 onboard. It received the Android 12 update in late 2021 and the Android 13 update in late 2022. It is currently running Android 14 and won't get the Android 15 (One UI 7.0) update.
The phone will get security updates for at least an additional year. If you want to use One UI 7.0, you should consider upgrading to the Galaxy A56, which comes with Android 15 and One UI 7.0 pre-installed and get six major Android OS updates in the future.
