Last week, Samsung released a software update for the European variant of the Galaxy A55. It offered the February 2025 security patch, which fixes many security issues. Well, the company is now rolling out the same update to the international version of the smartphone, which carries the model number SM-A556E.
The new firmware carries version A556EXXS6AYB4 and it is currently available in at least two countries, Mexico and Panama. We expect Samsung to roll out the new update for the Galaxy A55 out in other countries in the next few days.
If you are new to Samsung smartphones and don’t know how to download the update, you just have to go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. We have made the new firmware available in our database. You can download it from here and install it on your Galaxy A55 using Odin on a Windows PC
Speaking of updates, the Galaxy A55 is eligible for Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7.0. It brings new UI and features, as well as smoother animations. Reportedly, the tech giant will offer its beta to the phone in the next few days.
