Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy S21 series in the USA. The update makes the phones more secure with the help of the November 2024 security patch.
The factory-unlocked units of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra have started getting the November 2024 security update in the USA. The update comes with firmware version G99xU1UESEGXJ4 and fixes several security loopholes that were found in the previous software version.
If you live in the USA and have a Galaxy S21 series phone that is factory unlocked, you can check for the new software update on your device. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
If you prefer flashing the new update manually, you can download the new firmware file from our database. Then, use the Odin tool on a computer running Windows OS and flash the firmware file. However, you need to be well-versed in the manual firmware flashing process.
Soon, the carrier-locked variants of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra could also get the new security update in the USA. The global variants of those phones haven't received the update as well.
