A few days ago, Samsung released the May 2025 security update, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. Now, the update is expanding to other phones, including the Galaxy S23 FE, in Samsung's home country. It could be released in other countries soon.
A new software update is rolling out to the Galaxy S23 FE in South Korea. The update comes with firmware version S711NKSS6CYE1 and has a download size of around 277MB. It includes the May 2025 security patch that fixes a few dozen security vulnerabilities found in the previous software version. The update does not bring any new features or performance enhancements.
If you have a Galaxy S23 FE and live in South Korea, you can check for the new update on your phone right now. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
If you don't live in South Korea, you might have to wait for a few days before the update is made available in your country or region. This is the first security update since the Android 15-based One UI 7 update arrived for the phone. Know more about One UI 7.0 in our video below.
The Galaxy S23 FE was launched in October 2023 with Android 13 onboard. Later that year, the phone received the Android 14 update. The Fan Edition phone then received the Android 15 update last month. Read more about the Galaxy S23 FE specifications here.
