Samsung has started rolling out the November 2024 security update to the Galaxy S24 series in South Korea. This is a critical update for anyone who is thinking of participating in the One UI 7.0 Beta Program, as it is said to be necessary to install the One UI 7.0 beta update.

Galaxy S24 gets important pre-One UI 7 beta update with November 2024 security patch

A new software update is rolling out to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in South Korea. It comes with firmware version S92xNKSU4AXK4 and includes the November 2024 security patch that fixes dozens of security loopholes. The changelog doesn't mention any other improvements besides the security patch.

If you have a Galaxy S24 series phone and live in South Korea, you can check for the new update on your phone. To do that, open the Settings app, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install.

Once it is available in our firmware database, you can also choose to download it and flash it manually on your phone using the Odin tool. You need to be well-versed in the manual firmware flashing process, though. Otherwise you could risk losing your personal data in the process.

The One UI 7.0 update is based on Android 15. It is expected to bring a major UI design revamp featuring a new, two-page Quick Panel UI. One page is for notifications, and the other is for quick setting toggles. Notifications now have more rounded edges. There is a new battery icon and a new charging animation.

Animations and transitions across the UI have reportedly improved. Samsung will also bring new app icons for stock apps and new widgets for the home screen and the lock screen.
