Last week, Samsung announced that it will open the Android 16-based One UI 8 Beta Program for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra this week (between 11 August 2025 and 17 August 2025). Well, the brand is now rolling out a software update to the three devices.
Is it the update we have all been waiting for? Unfortunately, no. Instead, it offers the August 2025 security patch, which fixes many security issues. You can check then out here. That being said, it is probably the last software update for the Galaxy S24 lineup before Samsung pushes One UI 8.
As pointed out by Tarun Vats, the latest software update for the Galaxy S24 series is live in India and Korea. The update for India is 478.65MB in size and carries firmware version S92xBXXS4BYH1 and that for Korea is 315.15MB in size and carries firmware version S92xNKSS9BYG8, as you can see in the screenshots above.
To get the update, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download it from our database and install it manually using Samsung’s Odin tool. Follow our channel on Telegram/WhatsApp to get notified when Samsung opens the One UI 8 Beta Program for the Galaxy S24 lineup.
