One UI 7 is not the only thing that Samsung has delayed. It has also postponed the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge. The company initially planned to launch it in April, but it has reportedly pushed the launch to May. The phone's exact launch date may have been leaked.

According to a report from FNNews, Samsung will announce more details about the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13 and make the ultra-slim phone available starting May 23. Pre-orders will be accepted from May 14 to May 20. The phone will reportedly be launched in China and South Korea first and then in the USA on May 30. Select markets and countries worldwide will get it later.

The report claims that Samsung will hold a Galaxy Unpacked event on May 13 where it will unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge's colors, pricing, and specifications. The phone is not only expected to be Samsung's thinnest smartphone ever but also a lightweight device, which could make handling the phone easier.

The Galaxy S25 Edge will reportedly cost KRW 1.5 million (~$1,049) for the 256GB version and KRW 1.63 million (~$1,140) for the 512GB version.

Apparently, Samsung wants to stay one step ahead of competitors to address the allegedly growing demand for slim and lightweight phones. The Galaxy S25 Edge was first displayed in January alongside the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event.

It is estimated that the Galaxy S25 Edge is 5.8mm to 6.4mm slim and has a 200MP primary camera. To achieve this thinness, Samsung reportedly decided not to equip it with a telephoto camera.
