The Galaxy S25 series is less than three weeks away from going official, and we can expect leaks showing us the real devices to get more frequent in the coming days. Kicking things into gear is a partial picture of a Galaxy S25 Ultra leaked on X by prolific leakster Ice universe.
This isn't just a dummy device. The display is turned on, so this is the real deal, and a notable thing here is the slim bezel. In addition to the slim bezel, the picture gives us a glimpse of the phone's rounded corners.
Last year, Samsung ditched curved screens by equipping all Galaxy S24 models with a flat display. This year, Samsung is getting rid of the Galaxy Note-like boxy design it has used for the Galaxy S Ultra models since 2022. It's a welcome change, as the lack of curves on the Galaxy S24 Ultra's display combined with the square corners made one-handed use rather uncomfortable.
Don't worry if you are an S Pen fan. Samsung isn't getting rid of the stylus: the S Pen will still sit on the left side of the phone in its cosy slot, as revealed by previous leaks. There may come a day when Samsung starts selling the S Pen separately for the Galaxy S Ultra lineup, like it does for its foldable Galaxy Z Fold smartphones, but that's not going to happen this year.
The Galaxy S25 lineup will go official on January 22. Initially, three models are expected, each with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset powering it in every country. A fourth model, dubbed the Galaxy S25 Slim, is in the works but is likely to arrive a few months after the base, Plus, and Ultra models.
