Samsung has just made its Clear Magnet Case for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra available to purchase in the United States. It makes these phones support Qi2, allowing you to use them with Qi2 accessories.

However, if you are a Galaxy S25 Ultra user, you might want to refrain from purchasing it or any other magnetic cases, as magnetic cases and accessories are affecting the functionality of the S Pen on Samsung's latest flagship.

Galaxy S25 Ultra shows a warning when you use magnetic cases

When folks at Android Central were using their Galaxy S25 Ultra with a magnetic case from FIberborne, they got a notification on their smartphone saying:

“Magnetic accessories can interfere with your S Pen: The magnets in accessories can interfere with the signals your S Pen sends to your phone. They may cause your S Pen to not write correctly or cause Air commands to occur unintentionally.”

However, when they used the phone with Samsung’s silicone case and a MagSafe adapter, the issue didn’t pop up. That could be due to the type of case material, the thickness of the case, the distance between the phone and the magnets, and other such things.

S Pen doesn't work properly when you use magnetic cases

Folks at Android Authority too faced issues while using the S-Pen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra with a magnetic case. While they were using the S Pen directly above the magnets, the stylus didn’t work. However, they didn’t encounter the issue when using the S-Pen in other areas.

This issue, however, isn’t new. Owners of the Galaxy S24 Ultra too faced a similar issue. People were expecting that it wouldn’t be the case with the new model but that isn’t true. Plus, the S-Pen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra lacks Bluetooth and doesn’t support Air Actions. All-in-all people seem to be very satisfied with the S Pen experience on Samsung's latest flagship phone.
