Samsung has released a software update to the company’s latest A-series tablet, the Galaxy Tab A9+. It offers the October 2024 security patch to the device, which fixes 42 security vulnerabilities present in the previous version of the software, making the tablet safer than before.
Among the four variants of the Galaxy Tab A9+, Samsung has released the update to the international cellular (LTE/4G) model of the tablet, which carries the model number SM-216B, and it is live in Europe. The new firmware has version X216BXXS4CXJ8.

Samsung’s tablets automatically keep checking for new software updates. It means that once the company makes it available for your Galaxy Tab A9+, the device will notify you about it. However, sometimes, it might now alert you about it. Therefore, it is always a good idea to manually check for the update. You can do that by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
If you still don’t see an update and you don’t want to wait anymore, you can head to our firmware section, download the new firmware, install Odin on a Windows PC, and, using the software, install the update on your Galaxy Tab A9+. Expect the company to soon offer Android 15-based One UI 7.0 to the tablet. You can read more about what it will offer here.
