By the end of this year, Samsung could launch two high-end tablets: Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. That is different compared to last year when it launched the Galaxy Tab S10+ and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. The Galaxy Tab S11 series will likely use a newer MediaTek processor, and its details have been revealed.
Samsung will reportedly continue using MediaTek chips in its high-end tablets. According to a report from Android Authority, the internal codenames of the Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra are GTS11 and GTS11U, and they were reportedly found in Samsung's code that comes via a reliable source.
These codenames are associated with the MT6991, which is the codename for MediaTek's internal codename for its current-generation flagship chip, the Dimensity 9400. That is an upgrade over the Dimensity 9300+ chip that was used in the Galaxy Tab S10 series.
This is the first information to be revealed regarding Samsung's next-generation high-end tablets. Other specifications, including the tablets' screen size, screen type, RAM, storage, battery size, and charging speed haven't been revealed yet.
Since the Galaxy Tab S11 won't be launched before the end of this year, it is likely that they will launch with Android 16 and One UI 8.0 onboard. Samsung could continue to equip its tablets with the S Pen and an IP68 rating for the tablet and the stylus.
