New benchmark entries for the Galaxy Tab S9+ on the Geekbench website have revealed that development of One UI 8 for the Galaxy Tab S9 lineup is in full swing. Like all of the other flagship devices Samsung has launched in the last couple of years, development on the Tab S9's One UI 8 update is happening earlier and faster than usual.
Of course, Samsung didn't just start working on this update. However, when benchmarks with a newer Android version start showing up online, it's usually a sign that the company is making good progress. And after the massive delay in One UI 7's release, we will take all the good news we can get when it comes to One UI 8 and Android 16.
It remains to be seen if Samsung will offer One UI 8 in beta to Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, and S9 Ultra owners ahead of the official release. It's unlikely, as Samsung didn't include the Tab S9 series even in the One UI 7 beta program. But then again, stranger things have happened.
