Three months ago, the Galaxy Watch 4 series began receiving the Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch update. However, it was plagued by bugs and caused performance issues. A few weeks later, Samsung released a security update for the Galaxy Watch 4. Now, the smartwatch is receiving another update.
The new update, bearing firmware version R870XXU2JZC2, has been released for the Galaxy Watch 4 in South Korea. It brings the February 2026 security patch, an upgrade over the January 2026 patch that was released earlier this year. The official changelog also mentions improved stability and reliability for the Galaxy Watch 4 series.
The update is currently available only for the Wi-Fi-only variant of the smartwatch. The cellular (LTE) version could receive the same update in the coming days.
If you have a Galaxy Watch 4 and live in South Korea, you can check for the update by opening the Wearable app on your connected phone, navigating to Settings > Watch software update, and tapping Download and install.
