Samsung announced the rollout of the One UI 6 Watch update on November 19. This marked the end of the beta test that had began a few months earlier, with those owning older models finally being able to get a taste of Samsung's latest iteration of Wear OS 5.
The company today started rolling out the One UI 6 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. That's hardly a surprise as both of these models are on the list of smartwatches that will receive One UI 6 Watch.
The beta program for this update was open to these models as well. As it stands, only those Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic owners that participated in the beta program are being upgraded to the stable builds of One UI 6 Watch which includes the October security patch as well.
It's only a matter of time before non-beta users get the update as well. There shouldn't be a gap of more than a couple of days for those who didn't participate in the beta to get the latest version of One UI Watch on their smartwatch as well.
There's a lot to look forward to with this update. It brings many new Galaxy AI-powered features to the devices, such as improved sleep tracking, Wellness Tips, Energy Score, custom workouts, and a lot more. Other usability improvements include easier hands-free operation, quick access to the most used emojis, and a greater number of options for battery protection.
