Samsung has released a new software update to the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 for the United States, which has the model number SM-F936U. It brings the January 2025 security patch to the smartphone, which fixes a total of 51 security issues. The software update carries firmware version F936USQS7GXLF.
If you have the above-mentioned variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, the device might have already sent you a notification about the update. You will just have to click on it and then tap Download and install to get it. If your phone hasn’t alerted you about the update, you will have to check for it manually by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
If you don’t see an update even after doing so then it means that Samsung hasn’t made it available for your device yet and you will have to wait for a few days for that to happen. If you don’t want to wait, you can download the firmware from our database and install it manually using the Odin software on a Windows PC.
