Usually, when Samsung releases a beta of a new version of Android and One UI, the brand offers it to many high-end phones, including Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series, and sometimes, to even mid-range phones, including Galaxy A-series. This time, however, the brand didn’t do that.
It offered the beta version of Android 15-based One UI 7.0 to only the Galaxy S24 series. Well, as it turns out, the company might be planning to offer the beta version of the new software to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 as well. But that might not be a good thing.
Tarun Vats has spotted the first beta version of Android 15-based One UI 7.0 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. There are two firmware files. One for Europe and one for India. It suggests that the company could open the One UI 7 beta program for the two phones soon.
Up until now, it was believed that Samsung is about to end the One UI 7.0 beta program for the Galaxy S24, and once it does that, the company will release the stable version of the new software to the Galaxy S24 as well as other eligible Samsung smartphones.
However, if Samsung opens the One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6, it might continue for some time. It means that until that program goes on, we will not see the stable version of the new software for the two smartphones.
