Earlier today, Samsung started rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update to eligible Galaxy smartphones globally. And the Galaxy S25 series is the first to get the new software update. Now, the company has kicked off the global rollout of stable One UI 8.5 to the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
At the moment, Samsung is rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in India. The devices enrolled into the One UI 8.5 Beta Program are getting the update first, with other devices set to get it in the next few hours. The update has a download size of 617.72MB and carries firmware version F966BXXU9BZDP.

If you have a Galaxy Z Fold 7 and live in India, you can check for the new update by heading over to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. Once the update is fully downloaded on your device, tap the Install now button. Your phone will then restart after a few minutes.
This update brings lots of new and improved features and a slightly refreshed UI design language. It also brings new and improved Galaxy AI features, AirDrop compatibility, a completely customizable Quick Panel, automatic lock screen layout, and more lock screen clock widget customizations.
