Google has improved its Quick Share app for Windows, making it easier to change visibility settings right from the taskbar. The update also brings some bug fixes and other minor improvements.
Google is rolling out a new update to the Quick Share app (version 1.0.2034.4) for devices running Windows 10 or Windows 11. So, you can now install that update on your Galaxy Book laptop.
The update improves visibility settings, allowing you to switch your device's visibility between No One, Contacts, Your Devices, and Everyone from the Windows System Tray. Earlier, you had to switch between those settings by opening the app. Google has also added the Quick Share logo to app animations.
There are some other minor improvements and bug fixes. When a URL was shared, the Quick Share app incorrectly classified it as text. But that bug has been fixed, and the URLs (webpage links) will now be identified correctly. It also fixed a bug that prevented the app from creating a shortcut in the ‘All Apps' section of the Start Menu after installing the Quick Share app.
The new version of the app also fixes a bug that caused a delay in opening the app after a user has signed into their Windows account.
