While Galaxy smartphone users are eagerly waiting for the One UI 7.0 update, Samsung has been releasing minor updates to its phones. The new update, which has been released for the Galaxy A55, brings the January 2025 security patch.
The new software update, which is rolling out the Galaxy A55, brings the January 2025 security patch to the phone. The new patch fixes dozens of security loopholes discovered in the previous software version. The update comes with firmware version A556BXXS6AYA3 and is now available in Europe.
If you have a Galaxy A55 and live in any European country, you can now check for the new update. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
Alternatively, you can flash the firmware file manually on your Galaxy A55 using the Odin tool. You can download that tool and the necessary firmware file from our firmware database. You need to be well-versed with the manual firmware flashing process, though. Otherwise, you risk losing your data.
The Galaxy A55 was launched with Android 14-based One UI 6.0 software last year. It received the Circle to Search feature a few months ago. Now, the One UI 7.0 update will be the next significant update for the phone.
