Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy Tab S10+. The new firmware offers two improvements related to the security of the device.
First, the new update adds the Maximum Restrictions option to the Auto Blocker feature. This option, according to Samsung, will not allow any USB device, except chargers, to connect to the Galaxy Tab S10+, improving the security of the tablet. Second, the update offers the November 2024 security patch that fixes 51 security issues, making the device safer against security threats.
The story continues after the video…
So far, Samsung has made the update available for the cellular carrier-locked variant of the tablet for the United States, which has the model number SM-X828U. The company should offer it to other variants of the tablet, such as non-cellular, carrier-unlocked, and international variants, in the next few days. The version of the new firmware for SM-X828U is X828USQS2AXJ7.
To get the update, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. It is always a good thing to backup your data before installing the update.
