Samsung has released the One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in India. It was released in South Korea last week. This is the second major Android OS update for these foldable phones which were launched in 2023.
Other countries and regions could get the update in the next few hours or days.
The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is now available for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 with firmware version F731BXXU5EYD9. For the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the update comes bearing firmware version F946BXXU5EYD9. The update has a download size of around 5.2GB for the Z Flip 5 and 5.1GB for the Z Fold 5. It also includes the April 2025 security patch.
If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 5 or the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and live in India, you can now check for the new update on your device. To do that, open the Settings app on your phone, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install.
You can also flash the firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. To do that, you need access to a computer running Windows OS and have the Odin tool installed on it. You also need to be well-versed with the manual firmware flashing process and save all your important data somewhere safe.
