After the Galaxy Tab S10 series, Samsung has now started rolling out the One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy Tab S9 series in India. The tablets received the update in South Korea three days ago and in Europe yesterday. This is the second major Android OS update for the tablets in the Tab S9 lineup.
The Android 15 and One UI 7.0 update is now rolling out to the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra in India. It comes with firmware version ending CYD9 and has a download size of over 5GB. It includes the April 2025 security patch to offer the best possible security.
The detailed firmware versions of all three tablets are listed below.
If you have any of these tablets and reside in India, you can now check for the update and install it. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install.
You can also download the appropriate new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using the Odin tool and a computer running Windows operating system.
The Galaxy Tab S9 series was launched in mid-2023 with Android 13 and One UI 5.1.1 onboard. The tablets in the lineup received the Android 14-based One UI 6 update later that year and the One UI 6.1.1 update in mid-2024. After One UI 7.0, they will get two more major Android and One UI updates in the future.
