One UI 7's official release is closer than ever. In the next couple of weeks, we expect One UI 7 (Android 15) and all of its fancy features to go live for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra around the world, marking the beginning of the end of a long and excruciating waiting game Samsung fans have been playing over the last few months.
But that's not all. The One UI 7 release will end another waiting game, one that Samsung fans have been playing for years: Samsung's Good Lock app will finally be available worldwide, nearly nine years after its debut.
In case you missed it, Samsung confirmed at the beginning of the year that Good Lock will no longer be exclusive to a limited number of countries and regions. Samsung hasn't provided an exact timeline for when this exclusivity will end, but it will happen sometime after the One UI 7 update starts rolling out to the masses.
For those who don't already know, Good Lock is a powerful customization app that lets you extensively change the look and feel of the user interface on Galaxy devices. It enables features that, a decade or so ago, were accessible only through risky unofficial custom software, and it is one of the many reasons Samsung has cultivated a strong fan following over the years.
Is Good Lock available in your country right now? You can find out by opening the Galaxy Store on your phone and searching for Good Lock (if you're reading this on your phone, tap this link). Once Good Lock gets its worldwide release, it will also be downloadable from the Google Play Store.
