Samsung has released a software update to of its newest Galaxy A series smartphones, the Galaxy A56. It brings the July 2025 security patch, which fixes security issues mentioned here.
Currently, the brand is offering the update to the international variant of the phone, which has the model number SM-A566B. The new firmware carries version A566BXXS5AYFB.
To update your Galaxy A56 to the latest firmware, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download it from our database and install it manually using Samsung’s Odin tool. Note that Samsung may be rolling out the update in phases. So, a few people may get it now and others may get it later. We expect the brand to release the update to the phone’s European variant soon.
Speaking of update, Samsung has released the stable version of Android 16-based One UI 8.0 with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. The company is expected to start rolling it out to eligible devices, which includes the Galaxy A56, in the next few weeks.
