May 16 is the Global Accessibility Awareness Day and Samsung will commemorate it tomorrow with an event at St. Paul's Cathedral in London. It will demonstrate the capabilities of Auracast by teaming up with GN, a hearing aid provider.
Attendees who have a GN hearing aid or are wearing the Galaxy Buds 3 will be able to use Auracast to join others in a unique journey of shared listening.
Samsung has worked extensively on supporting Auracast for its devices. Auracast enables a single audio source to broadcast audio to multiple receivers simultaneously. Those who attend the event tomorrow at St. Paul's Cathedral in London will experience the venue through a guided tour and choral performances.
All of the audio will be broadcasted directly to attendees' Galaxy Buds 3 Pro or GN hearing aids through Auracast microphones and transmitters. Background noise will be reduced the enhance the quality of the audio that's being broadcasted.
A pilot event was conducted earlier this month to give a select few the opportunity to discover Auracast's potential. In addition to simultaneous broadcasting, Auracast also provides a clearer sound experience, supports seamless audio handoff between devices, and provides enhanced settings to precisely tailor the audio experience to your liking.
Samsung Galaxy phones running One UI 6.1 or later are Auracast Transmitter supported devices. Auracast Receiver supported devices include the Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and the Galaxy Buds 2. Supported phones include the Galaxy S23, S24, S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 4, 5, 6, several mid-range Galaxy A models as well as the company's recent tablet lineup.
