With devices like the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition getting an exclusive release in Korea, you would think all new Galaxy devices get released in Samsung's home market first. That couldn't be further from the truth. Some indeed debut in Korea, but others reach different markets first. The Galaxy A16 LTE is one of the latter devices.
Samsung announced that the Galaxy A16 LTE will finally be coming to South Korea tomorrow, November 29. The Galaxy A16 LTE is a budget phone and will hit the shelves in Korea for 319,000 won ($280).
These are some of the key selling points of the Galaxy A16 LTE in Korea, and indeed everywhere. The Galaxy A16 is the first in its series to benefit from six OS upgrades for six years, and the first to boast an IP54 dust and water resistance rating.
Samsung Wallet, backed by the Knox security platform and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, enables online and offline payments, digital transportation cards, mobile IDs, boarding passes, memberships, and more.
In Korea, Samsung says the Galaxy A16 LTE also comes with two months of YouTube Premium, three months of Willa, and six months of Microsoft 365 Basic for free.
As for other specs, the phone is equipped with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED 90Hz display featuring a resolution of 2340 x 1080, a 50MP primary camera and a 13MP selfie shooter, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging.
