Samsung doesn't just dominate the premium Android phone market. Unlike Apple, Samsung has also developed some of the most popular budget phones in the world. In fact, the Korean tech giant is now working on a new generation of cheap phones.
New evidence has emerged from Samsung's firmware servers (via @Alfaturk16 on X), indicating that the company has started working on test firmware for one of its cheapest upcoming phones, i.e., the Galaxy A07.
The firmware was discovered earlier today and was linked with the model number SM-A075F. Or, in other words, the Galaxy A07 4G. Not that it matters much, but the test firmware carries version A075FXXU0AYF1.
Although there is no official word on when the Galaxy A07 might be going on sale, we could be only a couple of months away from its debut. After all, the Galaxy A06 was released in August last year.
Samsung may also be working on a few other budget phone alternatives, including F and M-branded Galaxy A07 spin-offs and the Galaxy A17, the latter of which appears to be rocking a MediaTek Helio G99 chip.
In any case, there is a high probability that the upcoming Galaxy A07 will soon become one of the best-selling phones in the world. For reference, the Galaxy A06 was the sixth best-seller in Q1 2025, beating even the Galaxy A55 and the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Likewise, the Galaxy A16 was only beaten by iPhones and rose to the top of the Android segment in terms of global sales in Q1.
With that in mind, you can be sure that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 are not the only phones Samsung has in store for a 2025 release. The budget segment plays a big role, and Samsung will keep the ball rolling.
