Samsung's proprietary CryptoCore is a software library that encrypts and decrypts data during transmission and storage. It has already earned the FIPS 140-3 (Federal Information Processing Standard) certificate, which is recognized by governments in 10 countries, including:
The FIPS 140-3 certification requires comprehensive cryptographic testing of security, integrity, and reliability. Devices running a cryptographic model that is FIPS 140-3-certified, such as Samsung CryptoCore, offer top-tier protection against privacy breaches.
Smart devices have become ubiquitous. There is a lot more going on in the background for modern smart TVs, smart monitors, and even refrigerators. All those SmartThings and IoT features are powered by complex systems that need to be secured against cyber attacks.

Although Samsung devices powered by Tizen already take advantage of the respected Samsung Knox platform, the addition of CryptoCore will provide even better security.
Samsung says its CryptoCore proprietary cryptography module will be fully integrated into Tizen OS 9.0 starting in 2025.
