It looks like Samsung plans to regularly tease different aspects of its upcoming foldables over the coming weeks as we move closer to the official launch. With a new teaser talking about AI and its integration in the Galaxy Z Fold 7's camera, the company has left us scratching our heads.
Samsung has titled the teaser “Your smartphone camera now gets what you're looking at — and responds” and appears to have told the marketing team to use as many buzzwords as possible while saying nothing meaningful or useful.
Since the company is talking about AI here, we decided to ask an AI to help us decode what Samsung is trying to get at, and here's what it had to say:
Samsung is teasing that the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s camera will be smarter than ever. Thanks to advanced AI and tight integration between hardware and software, the camera will recognize what you're seeing and take action, making your phone more helpful and intuitive. And on a foldable screen, this experience is even better.
That's pretty much what we thought, but again, it doesn't really say anything useful. It seems like the camera will be smarter than before at recognizing subjects and context in the frame and provide information about it. Perhaps even offer suggestions for which camera modes to use depending on the subject and the environment.
Samsung is also teasing that these new AI features will take advantage of the bigger screen on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 to feel more immersive. Or, for all we know, Samsung could be talking about tighter Google Gemini integration into its own camera app so people can point their phone at something to learn more about it.
For more details, Samsung is likely going to make us wait until the official launch of its new foldables. The launch will likely be in July. Samsung previously teased the bigger screens on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and that its new Galaxy Z series will be its lightest, thinnest, and most durable foldable yet.
