Samsung started rolling out the October 2026 security patch to Galaxy smartphones even before the month began. As expected, the Galaxy S26 series, one of the company’s newest and most premium smartphone lineups, was the first to receive it.
Now, the brand has started rolling out the latest security patch to Galaxy A series smartphones. However, the newest and most premium model in the lineup, the Galaxy A57, isn’t the first to get it. Instead, the update has arrived on the Galaxy A54.
The Galaxy A54 units in Thailand, where Samsung sells the phone’s international variant, seem to be one of the first to get it. The update carries firmware version A546EXXSNFZJ3. It fixes 62 security issues.
The brand should release it for other variants of the phone and in other countries over the next few days. You can check its availability and get it by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
On a related note, you should also know that Samsung has opened the One UI 9.0 (Android 17) beta program for the Galaxy A54. Unfortunately, there's no information currently on when the stable update would arrive.
