Samsung makes one of the best tablets in the world, and the latest market analysis shows that it was the biggest Android tablet brand in Q2 2025.
International Data Corporation (IDC) has published an analysis on the global tablet shipments in Q2 2025. According to it, Samsung shipped 7.2 million tablets in Q2 2025, and with that, it had an 18.7% market share, giving it the second position on the chart.
In the first place is Apple. The Cupertino-based tech giant shipped 12.7 million units of iPad, which gave it a 33% market share.
In Q1 2025, Samsung shipped 6.9 million Galaxy Tab units and had a 20.3% market share. That means the South Korean tech giant sold 0.3 million additional tablets in the last quarter than the one before that. However, it had a lower market share in Q2 2025 because the market grew 13.1% YoY, and the growth was absorbed by all the brands.
IDC says “Samsung continued to secure its second position in the top five and grew by 4.2% year-over-year with a shipment of 7.2 million units. Along with projects in Latin America that added to the volume, Samsung has been aggressively pushing shipments in the Middle East and in Europe, in order to compete with other top vendors.”
Samsung is expected to launch a new lineup of flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S11 series, next month. It will have two devices, the Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. They are expected to offer a newer display, faster processor, higher memory, and larger battery than last year’s models, the Galaxy Tab S10 and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
