We had tablets galore from Samsung last year. It launched the Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+ and Tab S9 Ultra in August. Merely two months later, it followed that up with “Fan Edition” branded tablets, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+. That's way too many tablets and Samsung has streamlined the offerings this year.
The latest flagship series only has two models – the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra – and now it appears that there's going to be at least one FE variant, ostensibly dubbed the Galaxy Tab S10 FE.
GalaxyClub has highlighted that a new tablet with model numbers SM-X520 and SM-X526B is being tested, likely representing the Wi-Fi and cellular iterations of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, respectively. It seems plausible as the SM-X510 was the model number for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE. Another interesting detail confirmed in the report points to an improvement that Samsung is making with the new model.
The primary camera sensor on the Galaxy Tab S10 FE will be upgraded to 12-megapixel from 8-megapixel on its predecessor. Other details about the tablet are slim at this point in time, but expect mid-range level specs. Last year's Galaxy Tab S9 FE featured an LCD display panel, a solidly mid-range Exynos 1380 chipset with up 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Samsung hasn't said anything officially about this device but it seems to have let slip its existence in the footnotes section of a recent promotion on its online store. Customers who buy a Samsung tablet in the US get to use Goodnotes for free on their device for one year. The eligibility requirements mention that this promotion is available to those who purchase and activate a “Galaxy Tab S10 FE series device by 7/21/2025.”
What this does reveal is that the Galaxy Tab S10 FE will most certainly be on the market well before the date mentioned above. Last year's FE variants came out before the end of the year so it remains to be seen if Samsung keeps a similar timeframe for this one. It's also unclear if Samsung is planning to launch a Galaxy Tab S10 FE+. Since it has already streamlined the main Galaxy Tab S10 lineup, it won't be surprising if it takes a similar approach to the FE line as well.
