RIYADH — The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) confirmed that the batches of Aptamil Advance milk that were the subject of global warnings have not entered the Saudi local market, emphasizing that the products circulating in the Kingdom are safe. The clarification came in the midst of reports that Aptamil First Infant Formula, made by Danone, was recalled by the company because it contains a toxin, called cereulide, which can cause vomiting. The SFDA explained that it continuously monitors the safety of food and products intended for children and immediately takes any regulatory action upon suspicion of contamination or violation. This clarification came in response to consumer inquiries on the X platform regarding the product's safety, amidst the circulation of external information about warnings related to some of its batches.
