RIYADH — Officials from the Ministry of Commerce have conducted 10,192 inspection tours of commercial establishments across the Kingdom during the first week of Ramadan. These visits aimed to monitor the availability of essential goods, food supplies, and consumer products, as well as their alternatives, particularly those in high demand during the holy month. The inspections also ensured compliance with regulations. The ministry has implemented comprehensive inspection plans for its field teams throughout Ramadan to ensure the availability of basic commodities and Ramadan-related products to meet consumer needs and to prevent any attempts to manipulate prices. The ministry continues its ongoing monitoring of commercial establishments and shopping centers to ensure compliance with approved sales regulations. This includes the clear display of prices, in accordance with sales regulations and product safety standards. The ministry is also working to prevent fraud and deception in promotional offers during Ramadan.
