There have been some memorable playoff moments over the years, including some remarkable comebacks. Here is a list of the greatest comebacks in WNBA history. No team has recovered from 0-2 down in a best-of-five series; however, multiple teams have come from 2-1 down to win the series. In 2009, the Phoenix Mercury were 2-1 down to the Indiana Fever in the WNBA Finals; however, they went on to win Game 4 and 5 to capture their second championship. Five years later, the Mercury fell 2-1 behind against the Minnesota Lynx in the Western Conference Finals but would repeat the feat and win another title. In the 2018 semifinals, the Washington Mystics recovered from 2-1 down to defeat the Atlanta Dream. The New York Liberty took a 1-0 lead in the 2002 Finals; however, the Los Angeles Sparks won back-to-back games to win the title. Two years later, at the same stage, Seattle Storm lost Game 1 to the Connecticut Sun but went on to win two straight to claim the crown.
