MAKKAH — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has suspended four Umrah service companies and four foreign agents following the detection of violations involving the accommodation of Umrah pilgrims in unlicensed facilities. The ministry stated that the violations affected several pilgrims. As a result, the companies were suspended and referred to the committee responsible for reviewing pilgrim complaints for investigation and the imposition of statutory penalties. The ministry affirmed that it would continue field and digital monitoring of Umrah companies, service providers, and foreign agents so as to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements, detect violations, and take necessary legal measures. The ministry emphasized the importance of all Saudi companies and external agents adhering to approved rules and fulfilling their obligations toward pilgrims. The ministry reiterated its commitment to taking statutory measures against violators in line with the objectives of the Pilgrim Experience Program, a key initiative under Saudi Vision 2030.
