JEDDAH — Jeddah Airports Company will begin gradual operations at Terminal 4 of King Abdulaziz International Airport on Sunday.The first phase will see flights operated by Wizz Air, AJet and SalamAir transferred to Terminal 4, with additional airlines moving to the facility in stages under an approved transition plan.Jeddah Airports said the plan will eventually relocate all foreign airlines currently operating from the North Terminal, along with selected foreign carriers operating from Terminal 1 and the Hajj and Umrah Terminals, based on operational requirements.The move is aimed at redistributing traffic across the airport’s facilities, increasing capacity and facilitating passenger movement and travel procedures following the completion of Terminal 4’s operational, technical and service readiness.The transition will continue throughout the following week. Fly Jinnah flights will move from the Hajj and Umrah Terminals (B3) on Monday, Sept. 28, while Nesma Airlines will transfer from the North Terminal.Akasa Air will move from the Hajj and Umrah Terminals (B3) on Tuesday, Sept. 29.SyrianAir and Pegasus will transfer from the North Terminal on Thursday, Oct. 1, followed by Azerbaijan Airlines and Tunisair on Saturday, Oct. 3. Additional airlines will be transferred gradually in line with the operational plan.Terminal 4 covers 97,000 square meters and has an annual capacity of up to 15 million passengers. It is equipped with advanced operational systems and modern facilities, including a dedicated facility for group check-in procedures for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.The expansion comes after King Abdulaziz International Airport recorded its highest annual passenger traffic in 2025, serving 53.4 million passengers.Jeddah Airports said the launch of Terminal 4 forms part of its broader efforts to develop King Abdulaziz International Airport’s infrastructure and improve its operational capacity and efficiency amid continued passenger growth.Jeddah Airports urged passengers to check their departure terminal before traveling to the airport through their airline’s official channels or King Abdulaziz International Airport’s official website and social media accounts
