JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman offered condolences to Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on the death of his brother Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. In separate cables sent to the Dubai ruler, King Salman and the Crown Prince extended their condolences and sincere sympathy to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the family of the deceased.They prayed to God Almighty to grant Sheikh Ahmed His abundant mercy and forgiveness, and accommodate him in His spacious Paradise.Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the younger brother of Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has passed away on Monday at the age of 76. The Dubai Ruler’s Court announced a 10-day official mourning period across the emirate, with flags to be flown at half-mast throughout the period. Sheikh Ahmed served as deputy chairman of Dubai Police and Public Security and held several prominent roles in Dubai’s public service, business and sporting sectors.
