RIYADH — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has signed two cooperation agreements with civil society organizations to rehabilitate schools and community facilities in Syria.Represented by Assistant Supervisor-General for Operations and Programs Ahmed Al-Baiz, KSrelief signed the agreements via video conference to support rehabilitation projects in the Damascus and Idlib governorates.The projects are expected to directly benefit 4,570 people and indirectly benefit 23,272 others, according to KSrelief.Under the agreements, the targeted schools and community facilities will be rehabilitated and equipped with essential furniture and solar energy systems, aimed at improving the educational environment and enhancing the role of community facilities. The initiative seeks to restore and strengthen educational infrastructure and community services in affected areas.The agreements fall within the broader humanitarian and relief assistance provided by Saudi Arabia through KSrelief, which focuses on empowering civil society organizations to implement sustainable humanitarian projects and support recovery efforts across Syria.
