Le télescope James Webb a réalisé une première. Pour la toute première fois, des astronomes ont analysé directement la composition de la surface d'une exoplanète rocheuse, LHS 3844 b. Le verdict ? Un monde infernal, sombre et stérile, sans aucune atmosphère, dont la surface serait recouverte de basalte, une roche volcanique que l'on retrouve sur la Lune ou Mercure.
